The Moose Legion Celebration in Pensacola on April 28-29th was great. They always put on a good show!

This is the start of a new Moose year, and let’s kick it off with a bang. Moose Legionnaires, come out to the meeting on the 3rd Wednesdays and voice your ideas for fundraisers and community service projects.

The dinner this month on May 16th will be Shepherd’s Pie for only $5.00. Don’t forget: Any Moose Legionnaire who wears Moose Legion attire or pins, on the 3rd Wednesday, will receive 50% off drinks that night.

Quincy Moose Lodge's Semi-Annual Poker Run will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2012. It will start and end at the Quincy Moose Lodge. Stops include: Hobbit Hoagie in Havana, Shuckers, Sporty's Pub, and Bottom Lounge.

$10 per person. Check-in from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. First vehicle out at 11:30 am. Registration includes food at final stop. Proceeds will benefit American Cancer Society and Moose Charities.

PLUS: There will be a Battle of the Bands at the final stop starting at 3:00 pm. Don't miss the fun!

To date, the Quincy Lodge is 105 members strong! Way to go everyone. We ended the Moose Year with over 100 members—up from 90 members on May 1, 2011.

Thanks to the added incentive from Moose International of $0 application fees, we enrolled 35 new members during 2011-2012, which was almost 200% of our goal! What a way to end the year.

However, we can’t stop there. Let’s make 2012 a banner year and strive to increase our membership to over 125. We may be small—but we have the ability to do it.

A currently paid up member may obtain a Life Membership in the Loyal Order of Moose or Women of the Moose in several ways.

Any member with 50 years of continuous service to the Moose fraternity is automatically awarded a Life Membership.

Any member who sponsors 250 applicants into either the Loyal Order of Moose or Women of the Moose is automatically rewarded with a Life Membership.

A Loyal Order of Moose member whose dues are current may purchase a Life Membership for $1,000.

A Women of the Moose member whose dues are current may purchase a Life Membership for $400.

For only $20 a chance, you can enter the Lifetime Membership Raffle currently going on at the Quincy Moose Lodge. Simply come by the lodge and pick your spot. Once all the spots are filled, we will draw a winner. The winner will receive a Life Membership in the Quincy Loyal Order of Moose or Quincy Women of the Moose courtesy of the Quincy Lodge.
