Outta Sight Band
A love of music, and the joy of sharing brings together talented student-musicians and music professionals to the Outta Sight Band at the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB). Established in 1993, the band has performed at countless events on campus and throughout the state of Florida. Today the Band is made up of High School students who are blind/visually impaired; they train almost daily.
The Outta Sight Band practices twice a week and performs throughout the school year, averaging two performances each month. In 2008, the group performed for state legislators of Florida and various civic organizations, and has made appearances at collegiate locations throughout Florida.
St. Augustine attracts a wealth of musical talent and is a center for musical activity in Florida. The Outta Sight Band is fortunate to have some of the most talented artists in the area who volunteer their time to direct and mentor our students. Former student members of the Band have gone on to careers in music and the performing arts.

January was a great month at the Quincy Moose Lodge. There has been more and more people returning to the Lodge. We are in the process of making many changes and we are getting closer to electing Officers for the Lodge.

Together we have made many improvements to the Lodge. The reception area has been painted (David Bass). The Driveway has new asphalt millings (Jim Ledger, Joe Hansen). The stereo system has been upgraded by Frank Ventry and Ted Palin, Scooter, Taylor Hood and Frank have been working on finishing up some projects that have been lingering for a while (camper area & light pole outback). We have plans to add a roof to the cooking area and we are working on raising funds to re-do the pool tables.

The Battle of the Bands will take place on March 11, 2017. It starts at 1:00 pm. Hope to see you all there.

So come and enjoy your lodge.
